It’s an exciting time for me. I’m editing a completed novel and just starting another. Regardless of which project I focus on, both are rife with possibilities. Each WIP has its own feel and unique world, so there are distinct playlists for each. Here are some of the tunes that I’ve been listening to this week.
Losing Your Memory by Ryan Star
So lets face it-I’m a sucker for tunes with piano backdrops. And why not, it’s an instrument that elicits incredible emotion. LYM even has bagpipes in it. What’s not to like?
Ryan Star is a singer-songwriter hailing from Long Island, New York. This track is from his first album, 11:51. He’s widely-known for his appearance on the TV show, Rock star: Supernova-though I’ve never seen it.

Say It Right by Nelly Furtado
This is not a new song by any stretch of the imagination. Again, it fits the mood of my work so well, this song stays with me.
Nelly Kim Furtado is a Canadian singer-songwriter, but also an actress. This track is from her 2006 album. In 2012 she released, The Spirit Indestructible. Her work has resulted in 20 million albums sol worldwide, as well as two Grammy awards.
