A Red Sweater Day!

In December of 2009, I bought a read sweater on-line. The moment it arrived, I immediately smoothed out the wrinkles and hung it up. I smiled whenever I looked at it. Why? Because I planned to wear that sweater when I when to New York to pitch an early version of The Star Child to agents.

Though there were no takers on that trip, that turned around in March 2012 when Inkspell Publishing signed The Star Child. With a great deal of pride and emotion, I pulled the sweater out of my closet and wore it proudly for the release of The Star Child. We had a banner day in the Keyes' household. Starting with cake and champagne for breakfast…

A visit from the real-life Gran…

And lots and lots of books!

Needless to say, I wore the red sweater in victory yesterday instead of in trepidation! The Star Child is finally in the hands of readers! Check out The Star Child Today!
