Tuneful Tuesdays Gets Frank About Musik @juleslarson / #frankmusik

Hello all and welcome to 2014! I hope you’ve all enjoyed the holidays, ate alot of terrible things, and listened to a ton of great music. If you’ve followed me on Facebook, you’ll know that I didn’t work over the last week and a half of December—shocking for me, I know! However, I still managed to pick up some great tunes since my return. Here are a couple of great artists and tunes, I’ve have had on my playlist.

This Week I’m Listening To…

Let’s Stay Young by Jules LarsonI had no idea who Jules Larson was until last week, but now I love her. The funny thing is, I’ve been listening to her for years on shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Castle. Jules Larson is an LA-based, singer/songwriter whose specialty is Indie Rock.

Update: Since my initial release of this post on Tuesday, Jules Larson reached out to extend a personal thank you to me. So, not only is this artist extremely talented, but also generous and interested in her fans. What could be better than that? Jules’ next release isn’t due out until this year, but in the meantime, have a listen to this track from her 2012 release on Last FM or Spotify listeners can get to know Jules via the widget below.

In Step by Frankmusik
I’m a huge La Roux fan, but she has not put our a new release in a few years. So what to do? Enter Frankmusik. It’s the perfoming name for London musician, Vincent James Turner. Though the track, In Step, is from a 2009 release, the album, Complete Me, really gave me the upbeat La Roux-ish tunes I was craving. So if you are digging on some Pop and 80-ish synth, this is one musician you’ll want to check out. Listen via Last FM or Spotify listeners can check out this track via the widget below.
