Tuneful Tuesday Hopes Two Sisters Never Grow Up / #avrillavigne/ #fictionplane

We’re slipping deep into fall now. Winter is only a breath away, really. So the temptation to climb under a pile of blankets and snooze is unbearable. When this happens to me I find I get loads more accomplished if I turn up the music!

This Week I’m Listening To…

Two Sisters by Fiction Plane

British rock group Fiction Plane got there start under another name—Santa’s Boyfriend. Very appropriate for the holidays, wouldn’t you say? Their first major release was in 2003 in the form of the album Everything Will Never Be OK. In 2005, they were the opening act for one of my very favorite musicians, Sting, on his Broken Music tour. They followed with another release in 2007, The Left Side of the Brain. Have a listen to Two Sisters.

Here’s To Never Growing Up by Avril Lavigne
It’s true this song title also doubles as my personal motto, but that aside I’m really digging on Lavigne’s latest release. The self-titled album features Lavigne’s new husband, Chad Kroeger from Nickelback, but the hgh points really center around Lavigne’s chick-power anthems. I’ve been a fan since Sk8tr Boy and it’s clear that Lavigne is stil focused on creating new, upbeat, pop rock-infused tunes. So rock out!
