Happy Tuesday, everyone! This weeks Tuneful Tuesday, features two songs that couldn’t be more different.
This Week I’m Listening To…
Cathedrals by Jump Little Children
Though this North Carolina band has been around since 1991, (incidentally my senior year of high school for those trying to date me), I didn’t hear about these guys until a chance Spotify recommendation brought them to my attention. Cathedrals, is a simple melody with haunting string accompaniment. In just a few stanzas, you’ll be remembering everything from the death of your childhood pet to a lost love. Jay Clifford’s voice will pull at you, and you’ll find yourself humming this in the car or while sipping coffee.
Applause by Lady GaGa
I told you this week’s picks couldn’t be more different, right? On a personal note, I had a busy weekend, both teaching at the Society For Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Western PA conference and launching my third full-length novel, The Star Catcher. So when I needed to get psyched up, I turned to another Stephanie, none other than Lady GaGa herself.
Though I am sure the other drivers on Cochran Road here in Pittsburgh did not appreciate my dancing to the catchy chorus while driving , GaGa’s catchy chorus on Applause both set the tone for the day and my evening. Have a listen!
