All You Need Is Love Blog Hop / @bookmaven623 / @StephanieKeyes

Hi everyone and Happy Valentine’s Day! I am thrilled to be participating in The All You Need Is Love blog hop! One of the requirements for participating in today’s hop is that you have to talk about a love story. So I thought I’d share my own. I met my husband about eighteen years ago when we were both attending classes at a local community college.

From the moment that I met him, I knew that he was the one. It’s strange, but I just didn’t have to pretend. I only had to be myself with him. How cool is that?

But that’s not even the love story. Something that I learned after we’d been married about five years (it’s been eleven so far) is that he cut out of every class that he had. He then ran across campus, just that he could be waiting when I got out of class. He never told me this, not once. To find out all of those years later…well, it’s things like that that make me fall in love with my husband again everyday.

    1. Thanks Constance! Aw. That’s lovely. Sometimes in this world it’s nice to remember that that still happens! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. What a wonderful story! I met my husband in high school and was immediately smitten. Many, many years later, he remains my best friend and soulmate. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m such a romantic sap, LOL.

I LOVE the cover of FALLEN STARS. I’m going to have to catch up on this series!

    1. Aw! That is so sweet! Thanks for dropping by Mae Claire! I’m so glad that you like the cover. I hope you enjoy the series!

  2. That’s so sweet! And that he kept it from you for so many years and now you finally know the truth of his early devotion. I knew right away with my husband too because I had been in a very serious relationship in the past and knew what I really wanted. He on the other hand had not had many serious relationships and it took him a bit longer to realize he loved me too! The poem on my blog hop is true to my real life with my husband! However, there was a happy ending in that he did say he loved me back and now we’re married and the best of friends and very compatible. Happy V-Day!!

    1. What an awesome story. I’ll be hopping over there to check it out. Isn’t it funny how life works out? Have a great V day and thanks for visiting! 🙂

  3. I have to go with my own! My husband and I met when we were in college and will celebrate 9 years married to each other with three beautiful boys! Thanks!

  4. Awwww that story with your husband is sooooo cute! I do not have any love stories like that although I did have the young love with my daughter’s father. Even though things did not work out for us and we are no longer in contact, I know in my heart I will always love him.

Thanks for sharing your love story with us,
    Marlena

  6. A real life romance would be my husband and I. We had mutual friends for well over a year but had never met each other. So many times we must have passed in the halls since my friends had dorm rooms right near mine. Finally we met in a class together and 11 years later and still best friends and soulmates

  7. Met my husband while was meeting my friends, before that I met him online so I had no idea what he looked like. He took my breath away when I finally saw him. Unfortunately I was in a rough spot in my life, so broke it off with him soon after. Two years later, realized my mistake and went a long way to find him again. But four years after that, we are now happily married.

  8. My love story is that my husband and I were friends first then got romantic.

  9. Unfortunately, I never experienced real romance.

Uncle of one of my great friend met his wife & married her after 3!!! days of the meeting. They had their silver wedding jubilee I think 5 years ago.

    Thanks,
    Adila (from Azerbaijan)

  10. Thank you for sharing the story..and the giveaway 🙂
A romance.. the real one hasn’t come to me, yet.. I quickly fall in love or easier to say -have a crush and then easy forget ..

  11. I love my hubby dearly but he is SO not romantic..in any way! 🙂 We were out at dinner at a fondue restaurant 20 years ago when the waiter brought me the check (it was my treat) and a wedding ring. Hubby didn’t say anything as I opened it crying except to say “well?”. LOL. I tease him that since the waiter brought me the ring, I should have married him!

    Booksie

    1. Ha! That is hysterical! At least he had the ring. That’s more than some guys bring to party. Good for him and congratulations! 🙂

  12. My husband and I first met in high school. I had a huge crush on him, but he was involved with someone else so it was hands off. A few years ago we reconnected and things hve been great! We now hae a little girl together 🙂
